5th COPENHAGEN AIR FINANCE LAW SEMINAR

As many of you are aware, the European Air Law Association hosts its 5th Copenhagen Air Finance Legal Seminar on 6th February 2015, starting with a dinner on the evening of 5th February 2014 as usual.

The seminar is, as always, held at the Skt. Petri Hotel in the centre of Copenhagen.

We have put together what we think is an interesting programme with highly esteemed air finance experts who will be discussing topical and complex issues and share their expertise and experience with the delegates. The programme is currently being finalised with the last details and will include the below. Note that, this year, we will not be printing and mailing programmes, but circulate by email only.

SECURITY AND TITLE ENFORCEMENT
John Pritchard and his panel will talk about the often challenging issues related to enforcement of rights in aircraft, whether security or title rights. John is a partner in Holland & Knight, New York City.

AIR FINANCE AND LEASING, CURRENT ISSUES
Gavin Hill moderates his recurring panel on topical issues in air finance and leasing. Gavin is a partner in Vedder Price, London.

GENEVA AND CAPE TOWN, THE INTERPLAY
How is it that the Geneva Convention and the Cape Town Convention manage to go hand-in-hand; and do they manage? The panel will be moderated by Morten L. Jakobsen, partner, Gorrissen Federspiel, Copenhagen.

FINANCE MODELLING
Matthias Reuleaux and his panel will walk through various aircraft financing models. Matthias is senior legal director in NordLB, Hannover.

ENGINE TITLE ANNEXATION, GENEVA CONVENTION, UPDATE
On this short one-speaker panel, Jacob Skude Rasmussen will touch upon the Geneva Convention title annexation issues in the light of on-going Danish High Court proceedings, the first of their kind in a Geneva Convention member state. Jacob is a partner in Gorrissen Federspiel, Copenhagen.

AVIATION INSURANCE UPDATE
Once again, John Cruse will be giving the delegates an update of what’s currently going on in the London aviation insurance market. John is a partner in JLT Aerospace, London.
